On October 15, 2011 "Open Youth" and the Municipality of Vidin will hold for the fourth consecutive year the event as part of the annual European campaign "European Night Without Accident."

The goal is to raise public awareness on the problems of road safety and to encourage young people not to combine alcohol / drugs and driving. Volunteers aged 18 to 29 years will be at the entrances of "Master" club and casino "Grand Macau" in Vidin. They will encourage young people to identify one of them as "designated driver." The latter will be asked to promise that he/she will remain sober throughout the night to ensure his/her own safety and the one of his/her friends. If he/she agrees to participate, the volunteers will give him/her a bracelet in recognition of the promise.
The "designated driver" will wear the bracelets and when leaving the club, he/she may voluntarily undergo alcohol /drug test to prove that he/she complied with the promise. If the last is fulfilled, he/she will be rewarded with small gifts. If not, volunteers will try to persuade him/her to leave his/her car in the parking lot or to give the keys to a friend who was not drinking. The concept of the campaign again builds on the voluntary will and the free choice of young people - choice to have fun, but to stay alive.
