| European Night Without Accident: Results |

"European night without incident" was held for first time in Bulgaria on 18th of October 2008 by "Open Youth", as announced earlier. The activity was implemented with the support of Vidin municipality and "Master Club" in the framework of the same-called European campaign. The main reason for holding it is that, unfortunately, alcohol is still one of the main causes for traffic accidents. Eight volunteers of the association did the night action, encouraging drivers not to use alcohol if they would drive after the disco. 35 people agreed to participate in the initiative and put a bracelet as a sign of the promise made. 30 of them returned to prove if they complied but only two-thirds indeed did it. It was explained to the others that for their own safety and that of their friends it is better to leave their car on the parking lot or ask someone, who was not drinking, to drive them home.
