On 18 October 2008 Open Youth, with the support of Vidin Municipality, will organize for the first time in Bulgaria event to promote road safety, increase public awareness of road problems and to encourage young people not to combine alcohol and driving. The event will be part of the annual European campaign "European night without incident" and and will be held at Club Master on Bdintsi square.
For first time in Bulgaria we fight the war on the roads with high technologies
25 young people die every day on the European roads. All victims are more than 25 000 per year. Our main aim is to contribute towards saving those people by sending positive messages and initiatives.
'The right of the child to protection' is the title of a competition launched today, 31 July 2008, by Jacques Barrot, Vice-President of the European Commission with responsibility for justice, freedom and security. European children and adolescents between the ages of 10 and 18 are invited to design a poster on the right of children to protection in the European Union. The aim of the competition is to ensure that these young European citizens are more aware of their right to protection and are better equipped to defend it.
From April 10th to April 13th, Daniel Vankov represented "Open Youth", Bulgaria in the first meeting of the transnational partnership of the project "Ten D by night" which was held in Turin.
