At 13:00 on May 21, 2011 on "Patriarh Evtimii" square in Sofia with a pilot action "Open Youth" will launch the fourth edition of the "Drive responsibly” campaign. The campaign is part of the European Youth Week 2011.
In the "Drive responsibly" campaign 2011, you can:
- Test a driving simulator that uses software putting you in risky
situations that actually happened on European roads. Then it can play
back these situations, using your reactions, but under the influence of
alcohol.
- Experience alcogoggles that simulate impaired vision with between 0.7
and 1.1 promiles of alcohol, allowing you to see while sober how the
world looks through drunk eyes.
- Use special software on the eco-driving simulator, which analyzes the
behavior of the driver, calculates optimal one and makes suggestions for
improvement.
- See eco-driver - technology that can be adapted to the onboard
computer of the car and by using special software, it retrieves
information from the computer for a specific trajectory, analyzes it and
shows how each driver action affects the environmental impact of
driving.
- Test your knowledge by questionnaire on the attitude of Bulgarians
towards alcohol consumption. As a reward for participation each person
will receive the pen with which they complete the questionnaire and a
badge.
- On top of your involvement you can share your views, ideas and
recommendations by a special postcard addressed to the Minister of
Transport. We will deliver it to him. As a reward you will receive a
test for blood alcohol concentration.
The campaign is co-financed by the European Commission through the "Youth in Action" program and Diageo.
