From 14th to 16th of September 2012 "Open Youth" trained 36 young Bulgarians on the theme "Institutions and policies in Europe." This was the final activity of the project "My rights as a citizen of Europe! I'm on the move ", supported by the "Youth in Action" Programme of the European Commission, during which the young people have adopted a special declaration, expressing their opinion on issues related to the Bulgarian reality and outlined priority areas for work. The Declaration will be circulated to all Bulgarian media and institutions.

On 19th of August 2012 in Pernik a joint campaign on "Alcohol and drugs abuse with subsequent driving prevention" will be held by “Open Youth” organization and “Obectiv” association – Youth Information and Consultant Center – Pernik. It will include the following activities: training for volunteers at the Municipal Youth Center – Pernik at 10:00 a.m. and an action for all citizens of Pernik at 04:00 p.m. on “Krakra” square.

"Open Youth" joined to the celebration of International Youth Day, whose motto this year is "Building a better world: a partnership with young people." The event was organized by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science (MEYS) on August 12, 2012 from 14 to 22 o’clock in the park "Borisovata gradina".

In this year edition of "Spirit of Burgas" for the first time a proven good European practice in organizing major festivals will be introduced: the prevention of risky behavior. When young people party, they tend to underestimate the risks of alcohol abuse or use of drugs, which can lead to fatal consequences.

"Open Youth" had sent a delegation for the 4th European Road Safety Day.

From 25th to 29th of July, 2012 “Open Youth” and the "Traffic Police" department, General Directorate "National Police" of Ministry of Interior, together with the regional "Traffic Police" departments of the Police directorates in Plovdiv, Sliven, Burgas and Haskovo, held a joint campaign under the motto "Drive responsibly and courteously".
