On 02 October at 9:00 in Vidin in 12a and 12b class in "Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov " secondary school, "Open Youth" will finalize a campaign, part of the association's overall program for road risks prevention "Drive responsibly". To date, over 250 young people from the Vidin secondary schools "Exarch Antim I", ​"Iordan Radichkov" and "Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov" attended the lectures of the initiative.

The main aim of this initiative is to turn young people’s attention towards eco-driving, in order to understand the benefits for the people and for the nature from a responsible behaviour on the road and the use of environmentally friendly methods of transport such as walking and cycling. To achieve this, the concepts of environtment friendly transport will be introduced to the young people.

The initiative is also part of the "Partnership 2020" project, co-financed by the "Youth in Action" program at the DG "Education and Culture", European Commission, where "Open Youth" is the Bulgarian partner. Its main objectives are to create a sustainable policy and networking between NGOs and the "Corporate Social Responsibility” in the companies towards green transport, and to encourage the participation of young people in initiatives, related to increasing awareness about this type of transport.
